Varna University of Management (VUM, founded in 1996) is an international business school located in Europe, Bulgaria. Students from over 40 countries receive an excellent education in Business and Marketing, IT, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.
VUM offers Bachelor’s and Master’s double-degree programmes, taught entirely in English, in cooperation with universities in countries such as the UK (Cardiff Met), Switzerland (BHMS), the Netherlands (Stenden University). Students study the synchronized curriculum as in the partnering institutions and have to meet up the same high standards in examinations. They graduate with degrees from both the partnering universities and VUM.

VUM’s academic and administrative staff develop expertise in the areas of tourism and business administration. Its main achievements are related to research and project development targeting alternative tourism, culinary arts, hospitality management, sustainable development and utilization of IT and new technologies in the areas of tourism and services.
Along with conventional education, VUM provides opportunities for lifelong learning and vocational training through its VET center. Green skills and sustainability awareness are cross-cutting horizontal issues in all training programs. Recently VUM started developing majors in agro-business and agricultural entrepreneurship following the development needs of the Bulgarian agricultural sector and of the Bulgarian Northeast Planning Region (the largest one in Bulgaria), where its headquarters is situated. To this end, it attracted many established scientists from the agricultural research institutes that build the backbone of the programs and attempt at popularizing the practical implementation of agricultural science.
